COO: Ryan Lockhart

Ryan has been with BiON for 8 years. He graduated from Doane College in 2002 with a bachlors degree in Business (focus on management & marketing). After graduating, Ryan managed a minor league baseball stadium for 5 years. Although he loved working in baseball, he always knew he wanted to work for the family business. With BiON being a family business, Ryan has worn about every hat possible. He always says he wouldn’t ask an employee to do anything he hasn’t done. Now Ryan manages the day to day operations at BiON. His focus is on growing the business and maintaining BiON’s industry leading customer service. He really enjoys the daily interaction with employees, customers, distributors, and manufacturers. He believes with the help of everyone at BiON, and all of our estheticians around the world, BiON is able to maintain high quality skincare products in the fiercely competitive skincare industry.

Licensed Esthetician & Product Development Manger:

Andrea Matczyszyn

Andrea serves as BiON Skincare’s Licensed Esthetician and Product Development Manager, bringing over 14 years of experience in the skincare industry. A graduate of the College of Hair Design in Lincoln, NE, Andrea earned her esthetics license in December 2011. She began her career in Denver, Colorado, where she quickly advanced to Lead Esthetician at her first role, demonstrating her expertise and leadership in skincare.

After several years in Colorado, Andrea returned to Nebraska to be closer to her family and has since combined her passion for skincare with her business acumen. In her role as Product Development Manager, Andrea is instrumental in researching, designing, and refining skincare formulations that align with BiON’s commitment to innovation and efficacy. She collaborates closely with industry professionals and laboratories to ensure each product meets the highest standards of quality, addressing the evolving needs of licensed estheticians and their clients worldwide.

Deeply passionate about the ever-changing world of skincare, Andrea values the opportunity to connect with professionals globally, fostering a spirit of collaboration and continuous learning.

Licensed Esthetician & Esthetics Educator:

Clarissa Olmos

Meet Clarissa! She is one of BiON’s Licensed Estheticians and Esthetics Educators She has a strong focus on sensitive skin and barrier support. Her personal experiences with skin sensitivity inspired a passion for educating others and delivering results-driven, gentle skincare solutions.

Since earning her Esthetician license in 2023, Clarissa has completed advanced training and certifications in superficial chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, brow lamination, and epilation. She continues to expand her expertise to stay current in the ever-evolving field of esthetics both at her hands-on studio and as BiON’s Esthetics Educator.

CEO: Larry Lockhart RP

Larry Lockhart has been owner and CEO of BiON Research since September 2007. He graduated from the University Of Nebraska College Of Pharmacy in 1972 and has worked to grow and improve each business he has managed. He was owner of three Option Care franchises for several years, which involved mixing and administering home intravenous therapy. He is well versed in chemicals and medications that are necessary for the body and which ingredients mix well with others. He was elected as a regional member of the Option Care Inc. National Advisory Council for 6 years and was a Vice President for Option Care Enterprises for 3 years. His experience in management and sharing his knowledge was appreciated when he was awarded National Man of the Year by Option Care Inc. in 1997. At the time there were over 400 Option Care franchises.

Vice President: Barbara Lockhart

Barbara Lockhart is the co-owner of BiON since 2007. She is a registered nurse with experience in pediatric nursing at the University Of Arizona Hospital in Tucson, AZ and Children’s Hospital in Denver, CO. Her years at home with her children changed her practice to part time office/home infusion nursing until the purchase of BiON. Her interest in skin care for acne arose when she saw patients in the clinic with severe acne and the lack of effective products available. Barb is a cancer survivor. Her experience with surgery and radiation to treat face/neck cancer gives her a unique insight into treating and rejuvenating severely damaged skin.

Founder: Glen Lockhart

Glen Lockhart founded BiON Research in 1997, creating an innovative line of science based products for physicians and clinical aestheticians. Prior to BiON, Glen was Vice President of Research Institute for Plastic Surgery in charge of the development of topical products. At Research Institute Glen was able to attend many national physician accreditation seminars and workshops bringing his background in biochemistry up to the front of current knowledge. This resulted in a dramatic edge for Research Institute product technology. As Research Institute developed a world market for its products, Glen frequently taught seminars in the USA, Europe and Asia, dealing with the biochemistry of the skin which brought him the exposure and contacts that proved beneficial in the creation of BiON. Glen had a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska and attended graduate school at the U of N and other universities.
